Hello, my name is Angelica Hasan. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Science from Grand Canyon University and am pursuing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in trauma. Beginning in October 2026, I will complete my counseling practicum at Del Soul Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Colleen Kowalke, Psy.D.
For more than a decade, I've worked in behavioral health and human services, supporting individuals across a variety of settings, including schools, community behavioral health programs, and residential care. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health concerns. These experiences have deepened my understanding of people's resilience and strengthened my passion for helping adults heal from trauma and life's challenges. I recognize that trauma affects every person differently, and I believe healing isn't about "getting over it." It's about learning to move forward with compassion for yourself and confidence in your future.
My clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, depression, women's mental health, maternal and perinatal mental health, life transitions, self-esteem, and stress management. I recognize that spirituality can play an important role in healing for many individuals. If faith is meaningful to you, I am honored to incorporate your spiritual beliefs into the counseling process thoughtfully. If it isn't, that's completely okay too. My priority is always to meet you where you are and provide care that honors your values, beliefs, and unique story.
I believe healing begins when you feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, explore life's challenges, and discover the strength already within you. Whether you're working through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I want you to know you don't have to walk through it alone.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, being outdoors, reading, staying active, and trying new recipes. These moments remind me of the importance of slowing down, being present, and finding joy in everyday life. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, growth, and hope.
