Hello! My name is Samantha Caldwell. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology at Midwestern University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry, from The Pennsylvania State University. I will begin seeing clients at Del Soul Counseling, starting on August 25, 2026, under the supervision of Dr. Colleen Kowalke, Psy.D.

My clinical interests center on psychotherapy across the lifespan, with special attention to helping individuals navigate life transitions, identity development, trauma, grief, relationships, and experiences of suffering. I practice from a whole person perspective while integrating evidence-based interventions, viewing therapy as a collaborative process that helps clients cultivate greater self-awareness, discover meaning, strengthen resilience, and live more authentically. I also value the role that spirituality, culture, and each individual's unique worldview can play in healing and psychological well-being.

Prior to and during graduate training, I have worked in community mental health, forensic psychology, substance use treatment, psychological and neuropsychological assessment, and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for understanding each person's unique strengths, challenges, and lived experiences within the broader context of their relationships, communities, and systems of care.

I am committed to creating a compassionate, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting change. I believe therapy is most effective when it is grounded in genuine connection, curiosity, and respect for each person's story, and I look forward to walking alongside clients as they move toward the life they hope to build.
